Fine watercolor memorial for Almira Bingham of Dedham, Massachusetts (b.July 23, 1808 – d. Jan. 17, 1810), circa 1810 with excellent townscape background. Period frame. Ex-Garbisch collection. Overall 19" x 15"

A very good painted miniature mortar, 3rd/4th quarter of the 19th Century, with original yellow paint with red splotches. The condition is excellent with minor rubbing. This is a lathe-turned piece which allows for a beautiful stepped base and 3-bands of scribed lines on the body of the mortar. This gem is only 2" tall. The pestle seems a bit large and may be associated.

A small green molded mirror, New England, c. 1820-40. It has old glass and backboard. 6 1/4" x 4". Beautiful green paint.

Fine and rare weathervane of a hackney stallion, possibly New York, J. L. Mott Iron Works, circa 1860-80. Copper with a cast zinc, (only early examples have cast zinc heads.) Minor repairs, old patina. Length: 31”; height: 21”

Fine portrait of a girl, oil on academy board, attributed to William Matthew Prior (1806-1873), circa 1840-50. A classic example by one of America's best known folk artist. Period painted frame.

Rare Maine cut-out having a circular border with flowers, leaves & pinwheel decoration. This cutout commemorates the wedding & represents a family tree for Cornelius & Clara Milliken of Union River, Maine, circa 1850. This is part of a small group of highly accomplished cutouts attributed to B.V. Hoffman. (losses) 26" x 21 ¾"

A great example of Americana! -
Very unusual carved cherry cane, American, last half of the 19th Century. The carved stylized African American head is finely rendered. The back side has a carving of a woman leaning on a pedestal, very similar to women in 19th Century mourning pictures. The connection between the figures is unknown but very interesting. Height: 36.
