Daniel Webster Painting
American portrait of Daniel Webster, circa 1830. This is a superb example, very similar to one in the National Portrait Gallery attributed to Chester Harding. This date is confirmed by the outstanding carved and gilded frame. Both the painting and the frame are in very good condition. The painting was relined some time ago, but appears to retain its original stretcher. The dimensions are: 40" x 35" overall.
