Unusually large Liverpool creamware pitcher with ship Camilla on one side and memorial to Washington on the reverse, circa 1810. Issac Hubber was the Ship’s captain. He sailed from Philadelphia to Liverpool in 1803. Similar pitchers were made at Herculaneum and are illustrated in Teitelman, Creamware For The American Market (2010) p. 194-195 #55. Condition: Pitcher has been lightly cleaned with several repaired cracks to the outside of the body. Cracks can be seen from the inside. Star crack on the bottom. Ht. 11 3/4".
