Classic figured maple Chippendale New England highboy, having white pine secondary wood, circa 1790. The shape of the apron and carved shell are associated with furniture from the Salem, Massachusetts area. Chippendale brasses are probably original. Ht. 71"; W. 38" (case); D. 20" (case).
